I saw these words at Sivananda’s Ashram in Rishikesh, and they’ve stayed with me ever since. In an ever-changing world, these simple truths can be a powerful anchor:
🤝🏼SERVE: Whenever we find ourselves caught up in our busy minds, service is a way out. How can we show up with more presence for those around us? Maybe it’s offering a listening ear, smiling at a stranger, or supporting a cause close to our hearts. Service looks different for everyone, but the key is to stay awake to the needs of others.
♥️LOVE: Let’s lead with love. The world is aching for it right now. When chaos surrounds us, it’s easy to retreat into fear and stress, to close off. But instead, let’s soften. Let’s open our hearts, even when it feels hard. Love generously, offer kindness freely. Everyone could use a little extra warmth right now.
🧘🏻♀️MEDITATE: Make meditation non-negotiable. It relieves stress, brings clarity, increases happiness, and builds stability. When we commit to our meditation, everything else flows—our ability to serve, to love, to meet the world with steadiness.
🌌REALIZE: Meditation reminds us of what we truly are—not just our thoughts, our worries, or our personal story—but the vast, cosmic intelligence experiencing life through us. When things feel overwhelming, zoom out. Remember: you are both the individual and the infinite. This shift in perspective can be so helpful.
