A few things you might not know about me…
I love nature walks: I try to go for one every day. It boosts my mood and decreases my stress. I love to marvel at the trees, plants, and flowers, along the way.
I meditate twice every day: I learned Vedic meditation in 2015 from @ydmmeditation and it has changed my life. I practice once in the morning and once in the afternoon to feel my best.
I love learning: I am a forever student and love to learn new things. Right now I’m deep-diving into functional medicine and am thoroughly enjoying it!
I love to ski: I’m grateful to have such epic mountains in my backyard. This spring I went on a majestic ski trip to Taos—one of my favorite Southwestern towns!
I have an intimate relationship with grief: I have lost two of my closest friends in the last five years and have learned to ride the waves of grief.
I transferred colleges my junior year: I was a fashion major at FSU for two years before transferring to CU-Boulder to study anthropology. This decision changed my life in the best way.
I’ve been told that I was a travel agent in a past life: One of my favorite things to do is give recommendations and itineraries for places that I’ve visited.
I had shingles and post-viral fatigue when I was 25: I got pretty sick and turned to acupuncture and herbs to help me recover. This period of my life led me to go back to school for acupuncture and seek alternative ways of healing.
I am my happiest at a concert: I love dancing and listening to live music. My favorite venue is Red Rocks.
I’m married to @tommyappel: We’ve been together for 10 years (since college!) and have been married for 2 years. He’s my best friend and my love.
