Stop And Eat The Roses.

Rose is another one of my favorite herbs for spring health. Rose is called Mei Gui Hua in Chinese herbal medicine. This warm, bitter, and sweet herb, has many benefits and can be taken as a hot tea or added to a variety of recipes. Rose is correlated with the spleen and liver organs, and is known for regulating Qi in the body.

Some of the Benefits of Rose:

  1. Regulates Menstruation

  2. Eases Depression, Irritability, & Mood Swings

  3. Calms a Painful & Stuffy Chest

  4. Minimizes Distention in the Stomach & Ribs

  5. Increases Blood Circulation & Nourishes the Skin

  6. Improves Digestion & Decreases Nausea

To keep your system running smoothly all season long, you can drink rose tea 1-2x/day in the spring. Rose has a calming effect and is nice to drink when you are winding down at night. Here is a link for my favorite rose tea and here is a link for my favorite rose jam.
