My Pilgrimage to India.
🇮🇳✨INDIA✨🇮🇳
The country that has captured my heart. With reverence and devotion in the air, it’s hard not to fall in love with the colorful culture, sacred sites, and kind souls, that meet you at every corner.
I was fortunate to spend the month of January exploring this beautiful land. My husband and I started in Varanasi, the city of Shiva, and one of the oldest places in the world. It is also one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India. We enjoyed getting lost in Varanasi’s wildly chaotic, yet charming, labyrinth.
We then traveled around Uttarakhand, exploring the spiritual centers along the Ganges River, also known as Ma Ganga—a personification of the goddess of purification and forgiveness. Ganga glitters with her emerald green color and cleanses anyone who takes a snan (bath) in her icy waters. A highlight of my trip was spending time with this powerful river.
We immersed ourselves in temples, caves, and ceremonies. We drank too much chai, ate lots of curry, and walked miles on end. After three weeks of traveling through India, it felt like our home away from home.
I spent the last week of my trip on a teacher retreat with Thom Knoles and 40 of my colleagues from around the world. It was such a joy spending time together and sharing laughs, stories, and of course, chai. We steeped ourselves in knowledge, received blessings from Swami Kailashanand Giri, and celebrated the Vedic tradition from which our teachings originate.
My trip was incredibly inspiring. I can’t wait to infuse my Vedic Meditation teaching with the lessons that I learned in India. My next course is Feb 22-25, reach out for more details 🙏🏼♥️💫
